methods of using design and technology to ensure information
and health promoting messages reach drug users effectively
is coined by the term 'Social Marketing' in Europe.
Drug Problem Service
Established in 1988 to support GPs in Lothian to work
in a shared care approach with drug users. Offers
assessment, prescribing, advice, counselling and support
to drug users by GPs and other agencies. Works collaboratively
with non-statutory and social care services.

The Castle Project
A low-threshold community drugs project, offering
a range of support to people with substance misuse
problems. Based in Craigmillar and active in the wider
community, serving the South-East Edinburgh area.
